Canine Officer Retires After More Than 8 Years [PHOTOS]
Trinity was trained in explosives detection and was frequently on duty at Westchester County Airport.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The Westchester County Police Department observed a retirement Thursday of an expert in explosives detection. Canine Officer Trinity, assigned to Police Officer George Varbero, retired after more than eight years of service to the department.
Trinity came from Guiding Eyes to the Blind and joined the county police department in August 2010.
She turned 10 years old in October and over her career conducted hundreds of explosives sweeps for presidents, dignitaries and travelers leaving from and arriving at Westchester County Airport.

Trinity will continue to live with Varbero and his family during her retirement.
