From comedy to romance, this list of events taking place the week of Valentine’s Day will present those in Westchester with the opportunity to plan the perfect date, do an afternoon craft with the kids or have a night out with friends.

Sketching Light: Chagall’s Windows for Union Church
Presented by The Pocantico Center

Renowned artist Marc Chagall was commissioned by the Rockefeller family for several stained-glass windows at Union Church of Pocantico Hills – but this required a significant amount of preliminary work. Now an exhibition at Pocantico Center, Sketching Light, displays 27 mixed media works on paper from the artist’s preparatory studies for the project. Note: Tours are available at the Union Church on February 15 (and third Saturdays through April) to see the final windows in person. This outing combines event combines art, history and inspiration, which some may consider a promising recipe for a date. (David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center, 200 Lake Road Tarrytown)

Love’s a Joke: A Night of Laughs with Comedy’s Funniest Couples
Presented by Irvington Theater

Irvington Theater kicks off the Valentine’s season with a night of laughter that features a one-night-only performance by two comedy couples followed by a Q&A with the audience.
