Democratic Candidate For Westchester Exec May Be Determined Friday
The nominating convention ended early Thursday morning without tallying all the votes; one candidate said there might be a primary.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — There’s no Democratic candidate for Westchester County executive — yet. The convention at the Westchester County Center ended early Thursday morning with no votes counted for Legislator Ken Jenkins, D-Yonkers, and state Senator George Latimer, D-Rye.
The party chairman said both candidates agreed that the votes will be counted Friday, the Journal News said.
Latimer has said he will drop out if he doesn't get the nod, but Jenkins has said he would run in a September primary if he doesn't get the nomination.
