UPDATE: Police Identify Driver, College Student from Fatality Sunday in White Plains

The college student was from Fishkill.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The name of the 21-year-old man killed after being struck by a car Sunday in White Plains was released by the police, as was the name of the woman driving the car.

Emma Fox, 24, of Rye had a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent when she hit Robby Schartner, 21, a Manhattanville student from Fishkill, the Journal News said.

Fox is being held in the Westchester County Jail.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Police said a drunk driver struck and killed a 21-year-old man early Sunday morning on Westchester Avenue in White Plains.

The name of the woman, who is from Rye, was not released, but she is facing charges that include vehicular manslaughter, the Journal News said.

News12 reported the victim, whose identity has not been confirmed by police, was Manhattanville College junior Robby Schartner.

A post on GoValiants.com — the college athletics website — said Schartner was in his third season in the lacrosse program.

“We are all in shock and we extend our prayers and condolences to his family members and friends,” wrote Manhattanville President Michael Geisler in an email to students, faculty and staff.
