The White Plains Beautification Foundation presents our annual Arbor Day Celebration on Friday, April 27th at 1 PM at the Highlands Middle School. Mayor Thomas Roach and Bud Nicoletti, Commissioner of the Department of Public Works will present the Highlands Middle School with a Tree City USA Flag and a representative from the NYS Department of Environmental Conversation will also be attendance to celebrate this important day.
The Highlands Middle School's Select Choir and the Highlands Chearleaders will be singing and cheering to add excitement to the celebration. Patrick Laidman from Care of Trees has donated the River Birch which will be planted and he will graciously donate to each student that participated a seedling to bring home to plant. A special thanks to Susan Levin and the Community Service Club for helping to coordinate this event as well as Michele Davila and the Select Choir, Kelly Carfi director of the Cheerleaders.
