“Is it Autism? The Road to Achieving the Right Diagnosis and Treatment for Your Child” is the subject of a community education program.
The program will be presented by Catherine Lord, PhD, Director of NYP’s Center for Autism and the Developing Brain. Dr. Lord is a clinical psychologist, she co-developed some of the key diagnostic tools to help clinicians recognize autism in individuals of varying ages, and chaired the National Research Council’s Committee on the Effectiveness of Early Intervention in Autism. She also is a member of the DSM5 Neurodevelopmental Disorders Committee. A question and answer session will follow.
The program is open at no charge to all interested members of the community. Pre-registration is not required and free parking and refreshments will be available. It will be held in the Hospital’s Auditorium. For further information, please call (914) 997-5779
