To protect the value and goodwill in one's trademarks, it is critical that trademark owners properly use their trademarks to ensure that the trademarks do not lose distinctiveness and the owners do not lose rights in the trademarks. Bottom line . . . if you do not use your trademark properly, you may lose it.
