Archbishop Stepinac High School students have set a goal to collect 50,000 cans of food for "Souper" Bowl which will be donated to the Grace Church Community Center in White and Don Bosco in Port Chester, two of Westchester's important food pantries that provide essential services to many individuals and families in the community.
The deadline is February 1. Food shoppers can help the students on Saturday, January 28 when they visit two White Plains supermarkets: Stop&Shop at 154 Westchester Avenue, or at Shop Rite at City Center. A contingent of students will be outside the entrances of both supermarkets, asking shoppers to purchase the food items and then drop them off with the students when they leave the store.
Students will be at Stop&Shop from 10 AM to 4 PM and at Shop Rite from noon to 4 PM.
