The White Plains/Greenburgh NAACP and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Institute for Nonviolence will celebrate Martin Luther King Day with a presentation about Dr. Errold D. Collymore, Sr., “Westchester’s own Martin Luther King.” The first African American dentist in White Plains, where he moved in 1926, Dr. Collymore co-founded the Urban League of Westchester and organized the White Plains/Greenburgh branch of the NAACP, serving as its president for many years.
