WESTCHESTER CHILDREN’S ASSOCIATION BREAKFAST PRESENTS TALK ON LIFE-LONG EFFECTS OF CHILDHOOD TRAUMA

(White Plains, NY) The Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) will host their annual Advocacy Breakfast at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown on Wednesday, March 21, from 8-10am. The event, which includes the Kathryn Wasserman Davis Lecture, brings national experts together with advocates, service providers and policy makers to discuss critical issues facing young people today. This year’s Breakfast keynote speaker, Dr. Robert F. Anda, will present “Scoring Childhood: The Hidden Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences” based on the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study which examines the health and social effects of adverse childhood experiences over the lifespan. He has authored numerous articles on the study and serves as its Co-Principal Investigator. Dr. Anda is a Senior Researcher in Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
