Fix It: Health Care at the Tipping Point
The League of Women Voters of Westchester Sponsors Forum on Health Care Crisis

A documentary film and an expert panel discussion on the crisis in health care delivery and ways to fix it will be shown in a public forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Westchester on Sunday, 1:30 pm at the White Plains Public Library, 100 Martine Avenue in White Plains.
After the 55-minute film, entitled “FIX IT: Healthcare at the Tipping Point,” a panel discussion will be led by New York State Assemblywoman Amy Paulin and Dr. Elizabeth Rosenthal from Physicians for a National Health Program. The State Assembly has passed a bill for a single payer health care in New York, and advocates are now focusing on State Senate passage.

The film looks at health care from a businessman’s perspective and shows how the inefficiencies of the present system is damaging our economy, suffocating our businesses, discouraging physicians, and negatively impacting the nation’s health, while remaining unaffordable for a third of the population.
