Girl AGain Opens Anew in White Plains
Non-profit dedicated to developing job skills for young women with autism opens American Girl Doll resale boutique.
A resale boutique for American Girl dolls, Girl AGain, is relocating to 4 Martine Avenue, White Plains, on October 29th. Yes She Can Inc. operates this unique store, a nonprofit dedicated to developing job skills for young women with autism spectrum disorders.
The original Girl AGain boutique opened in Hartsdale in February, and in a short nine months outgrew its tiny 125 square foot shop inside Sweet Heaven Spa.
“Now we’ll have 750 square feet where we can display our gently used American Girl dolls and all their accessories and books. We’ll be able to bring in more interns and trainees to develop their job skills. And we will be able to host more events for American Girl fans – the ones we held in Hartsdale were very popular,” said founder Marjorie Madfis, a White Plains resident.

All visitors to Girl AGain between October 29 and November 30 will be entered to win one of three $25 gift certificates for Girl AGain. (Drawing will be held on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 2).
Girl AGain is located at The Seasons condominium, next to Pizzeria Uno, across from the Galleria Mall, a block from the White Plains Public Library, and walking distance from the White Plains Metro North train station, which makes it convenient for both shoppers and workers. There is free parking in the Seasons garage.

Yes She Can was incorporated in New York State in November, 2013 as a non-profit dedicated to developing transferable skills and workplace social skills for young women with autism spectrum disorders. Yes She Can is an IRS designated 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization founded by Marjorie Madfis. Yes She Can operates Girl AGain, a resale boutique for American Girl dolls, providing authentic work experience for interns and trainees.
About Marjorie Madfis
Marjorie Madfis serves as president of Yes She Can Inc. She is the mother of a teen daughter with an autism spectrum disorder. She has an MBA and a 30 year career in corporate marketing. She retired in 2013 from IBM after 17 years of leadership in digital and social media marketing. Marjorie serves as a member of the Westchester County Autism Advisory Committee. She resides in White Plains with her husband and daughter.
