Harrington, Ocko & Monk, LLP Announces Two Promotions

Michael W. Freudenberg promoted to partner; John T. Rosenthal promoted to senior counsel.

Harrington, Ocko & Monk, LLP, a full-service law firm with offices in White Plains and New York City, is proud to announce that Michael W. Freudenberg has been promoted to partner and John T. Rosenthal has been promoted to senior counsel.

Michael W. Freudenberg has been with the firm since 2003 working primarily in the Commercial Litigation Department. Michael handles other transactional matters and provides outside general counsel services as well. Most recently, Michael spearheaded the firm’s Construction Law Blog as well as being the Co-Chair of the Business and Commercial Law Committee of the Westchester County Bar Association. Michael was an organizer, speaker and moderator at the WCBA E-Discovery CLE in February 2015 and intends to present another CLE on the commercial use of drones in April 2016. John T. Rosenthal has been with the firm since 2005 working in the Commercial Litigation Department. John has played a lead role in developing the firm’s practice dealing with the enforcement of intellectual property rights against infringement, including copyrights, trademarks and rights under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and negotiating license agreements for clients to leverage such rights for commercial purposes. John is also actively involved in defending clients against lawsuits involving the Federal CAN-SPAM Act and California law which relate to false or deceptive email marketing. John is a standing member of the California Bar Association’s Cyberspace Law Committee. John is also involved in providing firm clients with legal assistance in dealing with employment related litigation and investigations, including cases of alleged race and sexual orientation discrimination and retaliation. John served in the United States Marine Corps until 1995, and received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, at Berkeley.
