Harvard Professor William Julius Wilson to Speak at Westchester Community College
Wilson will speak at the Valhalla campus as part of the college's lecture series on poverty.

Westchester Community College is pleased to invite the public to a free lecture by Harvard University Professor William Julius Wilson in the Classroom Building, Room 200, on Thursday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. The event will be held on the college’s main campus in Valhalla.
Dr. Wilson’s publications include Power, Racism and Privilege: Race Relations in Theoretical and Sociohistorical Perspectives; The Declining Significance of Race; The Truly Disadvantaged; and When Work Disappears: The World of the New Urban Poor.

This is the third in a series of conversations on poverty. The college’s distinguished chair program is sponsoring this event along with The Conversations in the Disciplines Program of the State University of New York.
