Hudson Gateway Realtor Foundation Presents Donation To April's Child

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The Hudson Gateway REALTOR Foundation, the charitable arm of the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS, recently presented a check for $1,000 to April’s Child in White Plains. April's Child is a 501(c) (3) organization seeking to prevent child abuse and neglect and to strengthen families in Westchester County. They provide parents with the tools they need to raise happy, healthy and productive children.

“April’s Child is so happy to welcome the HG Realtor Foundation to our family of supporters,” said Laura Schwartz, Executive Director of April’s Child. “Thanks to their generosity, we are able toprovide hope for the future for the children of Westchester and continue our work to ensure that children grow up in a safe and nurturing home.”

April’s Child is one of the many local Hudson Valley charities benefitting from the REALTOR® Foundation, which has raised more than $30,000 from its “Runway for Hope” Fashion Show at New Rochelle’s Glen Island Harbour Club, and four “Pub Nights” this year held throughout the Hudson Valley.

The organization offers several programs and services including volunteer parent aide programs thatteach parenting skills and effective non-violent discipline methods, anger management, stress relief and child development techniques. They also provide seminars and workshops for community organizations, as well as a parent hotline.

Established in 2004 and relaunched in 2013, the Foundation has donated thousands of dollars to charities and non-profits throughout the Hudson Valley. As concerned members of the communities we work in, the Hudson Gateway REALTOR® Foundation participates in qualified community-based charities who serve the housing, hunger, health, happiness, and humane needs of citizens everywhere.
