Injured Construction Worker Rescued In Gusty Winds With Help Of Crane
A special emergency personnel bucket was used to get the injured worker safely down from the building site in White Plains.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A construction site rescue in White Plains required specialized equipment and highly trained firefighters.
The aerial rescue took place at a building site on Hamilton Ave. after a worker was injured on the top deck. To get the worker safely down, crews employed an emergency personnel bucket attached to a crane.
Gusty winds only complicated the rescue efforts.

"Our members secured tag lines to the basket to prevent it from spinning in the 35-40 mph winds, while White Plains PBA medics tended to the patient on the ride down," White Plains Professional Fire Fighters - IAFF Local 274 officials said in a social media post. "A quick and efficient rescue which we train for often, especially with the amount of construction going on in the city."
