Jason Mask-Wearing Man Tries To Abduct 3YO On Halloween

The child was standing next to his parents while they were doling out Halloween candy.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A White Plains couple said a man wearing a "Friday the 13th" Jason mask tried to abduct their son. The Bryant Avenue couple was handing out candy around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 31 when the man walked up to their front door with a group of children.

Police said the man picked up the 3-year-old, who was next to his parents, and began to walk away, the Journal News said.

After the parents screamed, he put the child down and continued walking away, News 12 reported.

The man, David Arana-Olivares, 46, of Yonkers, said it was a joke but was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
