Kilpatrick hits game-winner

Sean Kilpatrick, a former White Plains star, hit a 3-pointer with 2.7 seconds left and Cincinnati beat No. 13 Connecticut 70-67 on Wednesday night for its seventh straight conference road victory.

Kilpatrick scored 16 points in helping lead the Bearcats to the huge win.

Stepinac boys win

Archbishop Stepinac's boys basketball squad recorded a huge 57-56 triumph against visiting St. Raymond Jan. 17, which was the first time the Crusaders have ever beaten it.

Josh James had a big game for the Crusaders with 16 points, four rebounds, four steals and four assists.

Andrew Murray, who registered nine points, made the go-ahead basket with three seconds left in the game on a layup.

White Plains girls roll

Sofia Roman scored a game-high 16 points with teammate Alyssa Ghilardi contributing 11 points in White Plains' 49-17 victory at Gorton Jan. 18.
