LSHV Announces 2019 “Equal Access to Justice” Dinner Honorees
The 2019 event will honor: John Flannery of Wilson Elser; Mastercard's Law and Franchise Integrity Group; and Julie Kinch of HEINEKEN USA
WHITE PLAINS, NY – Legal Services of the Hudson Valley (LSHV) will hold its 2019 Equal Access to Justice Dinner on Tuesday, April 9th at the Doral Arrowwood in Rye Brook. The event is the organization’s premiere fundraiser of the year, welcoming more than 450 attorneys, business leaders, judges, legislators, and community members. LSHV is the only provider of free, comprehensive, civil legal services in the Hudson Valley to those that cannot afford an attorney when their basic human needs are at stake.
The event will honor:
- John Flannery, Esq., former LSHV Board Member and Current Managing Partner of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP (Chappaqua resident)
- Mastercard’s Law and Franchise Integrity Group (Global Headquarters located in Purchase)
- Julie Kinch, Esq., Senior Vice President & Chief Legal Officer at HEINEKEN USA (Larchmont resident)
The 2019 Equal Access to Justice Dinner will be co-chaired by Christopher Cabanillas of Cabanillas & Associates, P.C. and Russell Yankwitt of Yankwitt LLP. Additionally, more than 60 prominent individuals will lend both their name and support to the event committee.

All of the proceeds from the 2019 Equal Access to Justice Dinner will benefit the organization’s efforts to “Provide Legal Services to Children and Families throughout the Hudson Valley.” CEO Barbara Finkelstein explained the importance of LSHV, stating “The work that we do keeps families in their homes, protects survivors of domestic violence, saves children from neglect, defends seniors against abuse, and serves veterans on the home front. Since our founding more than 50 years ago, we have been a lifeline for hundreds of thousands of our neighbors in the Hudson Valley at the most desperate times in their lives. In fact, in 2018 alone, we handled 15,285 cases impacting more than 35,000 household members.”
