LSHV welcomes Yonkers resident, Maureen Fox, as new CDO
As Chief Development Officer, Maureen is responsible for the strategic fundraising and communications avenues of the organization.

WHITE PLAINS – Legal Services of the Hudson Valley (LSHV) is pleased to announce that Maureen Fox of Yonkers, NY has joined the agency as Chief Development Officer. LSHV is currently a $19 million organization with 165 staff members, committed to providing comprehensive civil legal services to those that cannot afford an attorney when their basic human needs are at stake. LSHV is the only civil legal services provider serving all seven counties of the lower and mid-Hudson Valley (Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan). Last year, the organization handled more than 15,000 cases, impacting over 35,000 household members across our service area.
As Chief Development Officer, Maureen is responsible for the strategic fundraising and communications avenues of the organization in order to further the mission of Legal Services of the Hudson Valley.
Maureen has spent her career dedicated to improving the communities in which she lived and worked through raising funds and awareness for many important causes. Having begun her career as a paralegal in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office, she decided to devote the remainder to the non-profit sector after graduate school. Maureen has over 25 years of experience as a non-profit executive and communications professional with a demonstrated history of working in the social service sector.

Her previous role was Vice President of External Relations and Communications at Little Flower Children and Family Services of NY where she was responsible for building partnerships and collaborations with local government, schools, community members and individuals. Prior to this she was the Director of Development where she built a strong fundraising and communications department to meet the needs of the organization.
Maureen earned her BS from St. John’s University and an MPA from Baruch College. In addition, she is a Certified Fundraising Executive.

CEO Barbara Finkelstein announced Maureen’s hire, saying, “We are excited to welcome Maureen to the team at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley. The skills and experience she brings will further our efforts to increase awareness, engagement, and support of our mission throughout the Hudson Valley.”
