When you feel the midday rumble in your stomach don’t stress because your bank account is running low. The whole country has been brown bagging it to better their budgets. But if you can’t stomach another boring homemade bolonga sandwich for lunch, then White Plains Patch has got you covered.

Not only are they big on portion, but they have endless options of meals under $10 so you will be sure to find something you like, while really getting the bang for your buck. Specifically the eye-catching great deals are their lunch and dinner plates specials.

All around $6 or $7 dollars (prices vary depending on food choice), the lunch specials include brown, white, or pork-fried rice and a soup or soda with your meal. The lunch specials are served 11:15 a.m. to 4 p.m., 7 days a week.

If you are extra hungry come lunch time and want a bit of a bigger portion, for around the same price (all options are UNDER $8) you can get the dinner special instead, which is served all day. Included in the dinner special is brown, white, or pork-fried rice with either an egg roll, soup, or soda.

For both the lunch and dinner specials, there are over 40 choices to choose from including delicious favorites such as green pepper steak and onion, chicken and broccoli, BBQ Spare Ribs, Chow Mein, General Tso’s Chicken and so many more.

Many of the dishes can be custom ordered, and there are plenty of vegetarian choices and healthy steamed dishes as well, so there really are options for everyone!

For great japanese and chinese cuisine (a.k.a asian fusion), or big sushi lovers, head on over to David King. Everyday they offer their lunch specials from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and each entree comes with brown, white, or pork-fried rice, and a soup, egg roll, or soda.

Most of these entrees range from $6 to $8 and include a variety of poultry, seafood, pork, beef, vegetable, tofu and noodles choices. There are also steamed versions of many dishes including vegetables and chicken or vegetables and bean curd. 

More lunch specials include their special combo boxes which are each $7.95. They include rice, soup or salad, and one california or egg roll. With delicious choices such as chicken teriyaki, orange chicken, and chicken or beef with fresh zucchini, you’ll send your taste buds to heaven and still keep your wallet in check.

Plus, if you are a sushi lover, they also have sushi bar lunch specials which are served with miso soup and salad. Try their sushi lunch which includes 5 pieces of sushi of your choice with one california roll for $8.95. Or, try their maki combo roll with your choice of two rolls for $7.95 or 3 rolls for $9.95. Sushi doesn’t have to be an expensive treat anymore - it can be a regular ordeal for big lovers of it!

“Authentic mexican food” at its best, this restaurant will definitely bring some real flavor and fun to your taste buds. You can get anything from tacos, nachos, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas and more, all for under $10.

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. everyday, they have their lunch special combos which include rice and beans and are all $6.95. Their lunch combos combine two favorites of your choice, such as a taco and enchilada, or a burrito and a taco, so you don’t have to pin down to just one selection if you’re having trouble deciding.

They also offer fresh salads with a variety of toppings, and many vegetarian options as well. If you’re craving real mexican food but don’t want to drain your wallet, come to Mariachi  Loco, (which is conveniently located right next to a spanish grocer as well in case you wanted to do a bit of shopping while you’re there) and you’ll sure have one delicious fiesta!
