Motorcyclist Killed In Accident Monday Identified By Police

No other vehicles were involved, police said.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — State police released the name of the man who died as a result of a motorcycle accident Monday. Francis X. Claps III, 22, of Old Greenwich, CT, was operating a 2012 Yamaha FZ6-R westbound on I-287 around 12:18 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8 when he failed to make a curve for Exit 7.

Police said he struck a guide rail.

Claps was taken to Westchester Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported, police said.
