Mystery Surrounds Firing of White Plains Public Works Head
White Plains Department of Public Works Commissioner Bud Nicoletti served in the post for more than 20 years.

The White Plains Common Council Wednesday fired Department of Public Works Commissioner Bud Nicoletti, and did not give a public reason for doing so.
Westchester News 12 and The Journal News both reported the decision to dismiss Nicoletti, who held the post for more than 20 years.
The move caught people in attendance and some council members by surprise. The council vote to relieve Nicoletti of his duties was 5-2.
