Softball
Janet Ortiz (White Plains-River Ridge '09), the slugging (.494 average) 3rd baseman for Lehman College, played a major role in the 2nd game of two on the 11th , as she hit a solo homer in the first inning, and then singled to start the 4 run sixth , after she had gone 2-3 in the losing opener (10-2), plus having a putout and an assist at the hot corner in this one. The current record is 9-15: 3-7.

On the 11th, in a double header at Adelphi, Lauren Sputo (White Plains '11) lost her 11th game against 4 wins, in a 1-0 loss. She pitched all the way , giving up just 1 run on 3 hits, and fanned 1 batter, but she failed to receive support from her team mates, unfortunately. The Golden Knights have a record of 10-22:6-14.
Jamie Klotz (White Plains '11), in the first game of a home double header with neighbor Moravian on the 12th, went hitless and fanned once in Muhlenberg's 3-0 loss, with the record now 13-15.
At home with Arcadia on the 12th, the Swathmore ladies swept a double bill, 6-1 and 6-5. In the opener, Kate Smayda (White Plains '09) center fielder, had 2 hits, one a double, and scored a run, while in the second contest, she went 2-5, had 1 r.b.i., and fanned once, as the win evened the season's results at 14-14.
Girls Lacrosse
White Plains' Olivia Bellantoni and Kate Leone each scored two goals for the Tigers in their 13-7 loss to visiting Brewster April 12 according to Chris Perez's post on the LoHud Girls Lacrosse Blog.
Stepinac Baseball
Archbishop Stepinac will travel to Cardinal Spellman for a 4 p.m. start today according to its website.
