• Flash flooding disrupts Northeast communities and travel routes (wheninyourstate.com) — Flash flooding over the weekend hit parts of Westchester County hard, with White Plains among the communities reporting serious impacts and road closures. Heavy downpours of up to several inches per hour overwhelmed streets, stranded vehicles, and forced water rescues across the region, while officials urged drivers to avoid flooded roads and respect barricades as lingering hazards remain.
