Patch Police Report: Louis Vuitton Theft, Criminal Impersonation, Public Lewdness on Lake Street, More

Stolen Louis Vuitton sandals Lead to Stolen Identity Arrest
Police charged Shalanda Terrell, 37, of White Plains, with petty larceny at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10. According to police reports, security cameras showed Terrell allegedly concealing a $560 pair of Louis Vuitton sandals up her skirt before walking out of the store at The Westchester mall.
While at police headquarters, fingerprints allegedly revealed Terrell’s actual identity to be Sophia Walker, 38, as well as a match on another alias, “Kim Childs.” Police discovered that Walker had a warrant out for her arrest in New York State, and also had a record out of state.

According to police reports, police asked Walker multiple times regarding her actual identity, however, she allegedly maintained herself to be Shalanda Terrell. Her continual denial after warnings from police resulted in a charge of false impersonation. She was also charged with second-degree criminal impersonation as a result of allegedly presenting a social security card with the name of Shalanda Terrell to police. Her case was forwarded to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.
Felony Drug Arrest on Chester Avenue

Angelo Fariello, 27, of Yonkers, and Denise Decesare, 41, of Scarsdale, were arrested on 11:36 p.m. on Friday, June 10 after police allegedly witnessed the two snorting cocaine off of a credit card in a parked Jeep Wrangler on Chester Avenue. According to police reports, a tin of Altoids containing two small bags of cocaine was allegedly found during a search of the vehicle, as well as a Xanax tablet.
Police said the total weight of the cocaine was one gram. Fariello was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a felony, while Decesare was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor. They were held for court.
Man Makes Himself at Home on Bench
Police charged a homeless man with public lewdness at 8:14 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. After receiving a call, police arrived at Lake Street and allegedly discovered Anthony DeWitt, 43, in blue hospital scrubs with his pants down allegedly masturbating on a bench in plain view of the public. According to police reports, DeWitt was discovered with a puddle of urine underneath him and appeared to be intoxicated.
Graffiti Outside of Synagogue Treated as Hate Crime
On Sunday, June 12 at 12:57 p.m., police discovered graffiti on a city bench at the intersection of Old Mamaroneck Avenue and Miles Avenue. According to police reports, a swastika was carved into the bench, which is located outside of a Jewish synagogue. The vandalism is being treated as a felony hate crime. There are currently no suspects.
