Pool at Greenburgh's Theodore D. Young Center Temporarily Closed
A malfunctioning filtration pump is the culprit.

The indoor pool at the Theodore D. Young Community Center in Greenburgh is currently closed due to a busted filtration pump, Town Supervisor Paul Feiner announced.
When the pool will reopen has not been disclosed. It was scheduled to be closed today, Election Day, and it could be closed for a large portion of the month because it also needs additional repairs to fix a leak.
The pool hosts an extensive list of youth and adult aquatics programs, so the closure impacts a significant number of residents.

“We will be doing whatever we can to fix the problems at the indoor pool,” a frustrated Feiner said in a statement.
The following is the text of an email sent to Feiner by Greenburgh’s Deputy Commissioner of Community Resources André G. Early about the pool:

I apologize for the inconvenience but the indoor pool located within the Theodore D. Young facility has been closed until further notice due to a malfunctioning filtration pump.
In addition, there is a strong possibility the pool will be closed November 23-25 for additional repairs related to the reported leak.
We will keep you posted with developments. Please be mindful that the entire facility (as well as all town departments) will be closed on Tuesday, November 3rd for Election Day.
Thank you for your patience and understainding.
