Protests Planned If Trump Fires Mueller

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Local activists are preparing for protests in the eventuality that President Donald Trump fires Special Counsel Robert Mueller. According to organizers, more than 200,000 people have signed up to take to the street in more than 700 locations with hours of the firing.

In White Plains, more than 600 people have already registered to participate.

In addition, Rep. Nita Lowey, D-Harrison, Rep Eliot Engel, D-Bronx, White Plains Mayor Tom Roach and Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner have committed to to speaking at the planned Emergency Protest in White Plains.

Organizers said, if Mueller is fired before 2 p.m. local time, the protest will begin at 5 p.m. If he is fired after 2 p.m., the protesT will begin at noon the following day.

The protest in White Plains will be at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. statue, at the Westchester County Courthouse, 111 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
