Public to Decide Best Westchester Tap Water
The blind taste test will be held in White Plains.

WHITE PLAINS, NY - Who’s got the best tasting water in Westchester County?
The public can help make the determination Wednesday, May 11 in White Plains, organizers said.
The annual contest marks National Drinking Water Week and will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Michaelian Office Building, 148 Martine Ave. in White Plains.

Participating water suppliers in this year’s blind taste test are the Village of Briarcliff Manor, Village of Elmsford, Greenburgh Consolidated Water District No. 1, Village of Scarsdale, Suez (formerly United Water), City of Mount Vernon, City of Yonkers and City of White Plains.
“Westchester’s water is an important natural resource that the county health department works hard to protect,” said County Executive Robert P. Astorino.

The contest is held to promote the excellent quality of Westchester tap water and to highlight the role of the county health department in assuring drinking water quality, organizers said.
