Public Meetings Scheduled to Discuss Bee-Line Route Changes
The first meeting, which is Tuesday, May 24, will concern changes to Route 13. The Thursday, May 26, meeting is about Route 7.

Westchester County residents and other Bee-Line riders will have opportunities to weigh in on proposed route changes for the public transportation system.
A public meeting on Route 13 will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight, May 24, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
The second meeting—on Route 7—will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 26 at the Mount Vernon City Hall.

Official said the routes are two critical east/west routes in the Bee-Line system.
The county Department of Public Works & Transportation is reviewing strategies for achieving efficiencies in order to reduce running times and make the routes more convenient and appealing to riders, a press release stated.

Both routes serve residential developments and major employment and commercial centers in the densest areas of the county and are among the top 10 busiest Bee-Line routes.
The ridership is approximately 11,000 passengers per week.
The public meetings will feature presentations and opportunities for public comments.
The County Center is at 198 Central Ave. in White Plains, at the intersection of Tarrytown Road. Mount Vernon City hall is at 1 Roosevelt Square in Mount Vernon.
