San Miguel Academy Gives Award to Westchester Supporters

This year at the “Defying the Odds” Dinner at the Westchester Country Club on October 26, 2017, the San Miguel Academy of Newburgh, a school for at-risk boys honored Helena & Gary Dulanski of Chappaqua, Gary Dulanski is president of The Dulanski Group in Purchase, NY; William Porter of Sleepy Hollow, NY, who is also director of Admissions for the Harvey School in Katonah; Julie Pipolo of Newburgh, NY, owner of SkinWestchester, a Best of Westchester skincare salon in 2016, 2014 & 2013; and Joseph Sperduto of White Plains, NY, co-owner of Sperduto Spector & Company, CPA firm in White Plains.

San Miguel Academy of Newburgh is a tuition-free school for 68 ‘at-risk’ boys, grades 5-8, in what is called the ‘Murder Capital of New York. It does not receive funding from any institution – not the state nor NY Archdiocese. It needs benefactors who give time as well as financial contributions to stay alive. San Miguel has sent school has sent 68 boys to high schools and 40 to college.
