White Plains’ Lauren Sharpe scored the winning goal with 34 seconds left in a 12-11 triumph against visiting Ursuline on March 31.

Teammates Kate Leone tallied three goals and an assist and Hannah Ward registered two goals and an assist according to LoHud.com.

Softball

At Widener on March 23rd, Kate Smayda (White Plains '09) of Swarthmore, continued her torrid hitting pace (.516) in a pair of losses to the Pride, going 4-5 on the day with 2 doubles included, and sending game two into extra innngs when her rifle arm in center field cut down what would have been the winning tally with a bulls eye throw to the catcher.

Widener won both games, 3-0 and 7-6. Her batting average ranks 4th in the eleven team conference. At Rutgers-Newark on the 24th, they split, losing the first, 5-2 and copping the second, 6-5. Smayda had a double, scored 1 run, and had 3 putouts on the day.
