SPCA Rescues 50 Dogs from High-Kill Shelters
The shelter will hold an Adoption Extravaganza Nov. 8 at its campus in Briarcliff Manor.

The SPCA of Westchester has teamed up with Homeward Bound Rescue to save healthy puppies and dogs who otherwise would be euthanized, and bring them north where loving new homes await them.
On Saturday, November 8th, the SPCA will host an Adoption Extravaganza at the SPCA’s shelter campus, located at 590 North State Road in Briarcliff Manor from 10 am to 4 pm.
In several southern states, overcrowded shelters and low rates of spay and neuter have resulted in the deaths of perfectly healthy young animals. Over 5 million animals are euthanized each year, many of which are loving, sweet dogs and puppies that would make great family pets.

“In addition to the 50 we just saved there are over 150 dogs and cats awaiting new homes at the SPCA and this event will hopefully bring attention to all the animals and encourage more people to come out and consider adoption” says Lisa Bonanno, Development Manager.
From 3 month old border collie and lab puppies to young, adult small and medium sized terriers and other adorable mixes, there is something for everyone.
