Stepinac High School to Host “Doo-Wop Spectacular,” Sat., Nov. 4
The Original Chantels Among Favorites to Perform 50's and 60's Classics
Stepinac High School will host a “Doo-Wop Spectacular” (a Nickie “C” Production) at 7 PM, Saturday, November 4.
Among the performers who will take to the school’s Major Bowes Auditorium stage at 950 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains for an evening of R&B vocal harmony favorites made famous in the 50s and 60s are: The Original Chantels (“Maybe,” “Look in My Eyes”); Jay Siegel’s Tokens (“The Lion Sleeps Tonight”); Manhattan Skyline featuring the voices of Jimmy Russo and Catherine Santaniello; Classic Sounds (the acclaimed acapella quintet that hails from Westchester and the Bronx); Ladd Vance, son of Kenny Vance who with sing Doo-wop favorites; special guest Ms. Jackie DiMaggio, former Teen Idol winner from Westchester who will sing a tribute to the late Lesley Gore and the first-time appearance of 18-year-old sensation, Christopher “Cadillac Chris” Ruggiero.
Radio jock Dennis Dion Nardone will serve as the emcee.
