Stepinac HS Senior Ronald Prince II Named Con Ed Athlete of Week
Earns Honor for Leading Varsity Football Team as Captain to 2017 CHSFL AAA and NY State CHSAA Championship Titles

WHITE PLAINS, NY (December 4, 2017) Archbishop Stepinac High School senior Ronald “Deuce” Prince II of Valhalla distinguished himself again recently by being named Con Edison Athlete of the Week.

For the past three years, in addition to football, Prince has played on Stepinac’s varsity basketball and baseball teams.

At the same time, he has been recognized for his academic and community service accomplishments. In addition to being named to the prestigious National Honor Society, Prince has been excelling at a full schedule of Advanced Placement courses.
He participated and won an award in the National Business Competition, attended the Columbia University Youth About Business and Vanderbilt University Youth About Business summer sessions and earned Stepinac’s Joseph L. Riverso Scholarship Award.
Outside the classroom, Prince has been actively engaged in worthy causes including organizing a shoe drive for Africa in which he spearheaded the collection of more than 2,000 pairs of shoes; running a clothing drive for homeless veterans in Westchester; donating his time and computer and power point talents to Westchester Community College’s Senior Learning Programs; working in youth camps and tutoring Stepinac underclassmen.
And for his civic-minded volunteer work in helping to get out the vote in the 2016 election, Prince received the Student Leadership Award from the Mount Pleasant Democratic Committee.
