White Plains, NY -- STEPS Home Care rings in the New Year by celebrating their five-year anniversary in Westchester County. In the past five years, STEPS has assisted over 750 clients to find compassionate and attentive caregivers allowing them to safely remain in their homes. The business milestone also coincides with STEPS fulfilling their goal to create job opportunities in the Westchester area. The agency now has 100 home health care aides actively working in Westchester with their clients.
According to Jennifer Martire Baukol, co-founder of STEPS Home Care, “We are proud that our agency’s ability to meet our clients’ diverse home health care needs has never wavered as our business has grown. We are committed to treating our clients like family, and providing them with access to exceptional caregivers.”

Shan Wade, STEPS President and brother-in-law to Jennifer, added,” We are a family owned business and Jennifer and I are committed to offering a concierge-like personal connection for our clients’ families. Most of our new referrals are from happy clients and their families who appreciate our unwavering vision for hands-on, client-centered relationships.”
In five years, STEPS has grown by leaps and bounds and has over 140 caregivers employed in both Westchester and Nassau Counties and now Fairfield County, CT. All caregivers are hired following a strict adherence to New York State Guidelines.
“We are dedicated to only hiring the most qualified applicants, which results in only hiring 2% of caregivers that apply. We also take the time to make certain there is a good social and emotional fit with our clients,” said Barbara Moran, RN, Director of Patient Services.
