Yesterday was National Watermelon Day, and Summer Trails Day Camp, in Somers, NY (93 Mahopac Ave.), took a bite out of this juicy, summer fruit with a fun-filled day of activities! Known for its bright red color and refreshing, crisp taste, watermelons have become an institution for the sizzling summer season. In recognition of this tasty delight, campers enjoyed a day of games and even a watermelon eating contest!
