IBM

IBM’s commitment to excellence and community involvement extends to its more than 50-year partnership with United Way of Westchester and Putnam. The Armonk-based technology giant was among the first local corporations to launch a fundraising campaign on behalf of United Way in 1964, just after the company moved its headquarters to Westchester and only two years after the United Way was founded. IBM’s comprehensive approach to corporate citizenship aligns with the company’s values and maximizes the impact it can have on global enterprises. IBM’s leadership and guidance of United Way through the early years continues today with its many levels of support. From technology, volunteerism, grants to support vital programs such as homelessness prevention, literacy and aid to at-risk children, IBM has been there to provide educational and technical resources.
