Valiere Alcena, MD, MACP Inducted into Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Prestigious Davidoff Society

Dr. Valiere Alcena, a longtime and distinguished member of the White Plains Hospital medical staff, has been inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Membership in the Davidoff Society recognizes distinguished, caring and committed teaching of medical students at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Alcena, who specializes in internal medicine, hematology and oncology, is on staff at Montefiore Hospital Medical Center. He is also a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree and completed his residency and fellowship.
Dr. Alcena joined the medical staff of White Plains Hospital more than 40 years ago. At that time he also founded and served as the medical director of what has become the Neighborhood Health Fair, which provides valuable screenings and health information to hundreds of under-insured individuals in the White Plains community every spring. He was previously honored by the Albert Einstein Chapter of the Student National Medical Association for his contributions to science and the profession of medicine.
