Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to attend to fund-raisers for incumbent Gov. Dannel Malloy in Greenwich and Stamford on Wednesday afternoon.
Following a visit to Goodwin College in East Hartford for a roundtable discussion on workforce development and skills training, Biden and Malloy are expected to fly to Westchester County Airport — just a stone’s throw from Greenwich, before heading to a $10,000 per person benefit for the Democratic Governors Association in the Greenwich backcountry, according to reports.

That fundraiser is being hosted by Richard Lukaj at his $6.6 million estate, according to the Connecticut Post. This isn’t the first Democratic fundraiser Lujak has hosted. In June, the Albanian-born private investment banker hosted a major fundraiser for Malloy, incumbent U.S. Rep. Jim Himes and Connecticut U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, according to the Albanian newspaper Illyria.
Following the 4 p.m. Greenwich soiree, Biden is scheduled to visit the home of Stamford real estate developer Thomas Rich for a state Democratic Party fundraiser. Following the 5:30 p.m. Stamford event, Biden is expected to return to Washington, according to WTNH.
