Walk to End Alzheimer's at White Plains High School Sunday

Registration for the walk starts at 9 a.m.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — More than a thousand people will gather at White Plains High School at 550 North St., on Sunday, Sept. 25, for the Westchester Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs, a spokeswoman said. Participants learn about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical-study enrollment and support programs and services.

The Walk draws people of all ages together to honor loved ones lost to Alzheimer’s and help raise funds to fight the disease. Last year, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s raised more than $77 million nationwide for care, support and research efforts for those affected by Alzheimer’s.

Registration for the Westchester Walk to End Alzheimer’s will start at 9 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. followed by the 2-mile walk at 10:30. For more information, visit WestchesterWalk.org or contact Walk Director Karen Finnegan at kfinnegan@alz.org.
