Westchester Choral Society Celebrates 75th Anniversary

The Westchester Choral Society (WCS) is celebrating its 75th season this year. Upon its formation in 1942, the group consisted of 15 singers, who performed Bach’s B Minor Mass in its first performance. Now Westchester County’s oldest continuously-performing chorus, WCS includes a roster of nearly 60 singers, ranging in age from 30-75 years old. Under the guidance of Music Director Frank Nemhauser, WCS will prepare a performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana to be presented in a concert on May 13 at White Plains Presbyterian Church.
