If you want to become a police officer in Westchester County, now is your chance to apply.
The county is accepting applications through July 25, 2016, for the Civil Service exam for police officer, which is only held every three to four years.

All candidates must be a legal resident of Westchester County at the time of the exam and for at least one month prior to the date.

The cities of Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, White Plains and Yonkers hold their own exams.
In addition to residency requirements, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, a high-school graduate and be at least 20 years old.
