Pentegra Retirement Services’ Employees Volunteer for Local Community Work
On September 11, 2015, employees from Pentegra Retirement Services, headquartered in White Plains, NY, volunteered for the day at Toddler’s Park Head Start / Day Care in Mount Vernon, NY, arranged through the Westchester County Community Opportunity Program, Inc. (WestCOP).
Toddler’s Park Head Start / Day Care is one of WestCOP’s sites in need of TLC to beautify the space. Volunteers from Pentegra helped paint two classrooms to help brighten the rooms and create a conducive learning environment. They also helped to build raised vegetable beds for student exploration of nutritious food, and painted a mural of flowers on the front of the building to help make it a more welcoming space.
