White Plains Church Doesn't Have to Move - for Now

The school district is saying the church's application was misleading.

WHITE PLAINS, NY - Looks like there’s been a reprieve for a White Plains church that was facing eviction.

The pastor of Northway Church, which has a lease from the White Plains School District to use Post Road School, told his congregation that lawyers are discussing the issue and that the church would be holding its Mother’s Day service at the school, according to a video report on FIOS1News.com.

Church officials were told by the superintendent of the district that it had to vacate as of May 2. The church had paid for the space into July.
