White Plains falls to Uniondale

hosted the Harry Jefferson Showcase Dec. 17 which featured six games, including the Tigers' 65-50 loss to Long Island powerhouse Uniondale.

White Plains' Ryan Brooks, who registered 15 points, garnered the game's sportsmanship award.

Girls earn consolation win

The White Plains girls basketball squad defeated host Rye 52-37 Dec. 17 in the consolation game of the 19th annual Rye Rotary Holiday Classic.

Sofia Roman tallied 21 of her 27 points in the first half and was named to the all-tournament team for the Tigers with teammate Kim Hanlon contributing 12 points.

Stepinac boys win

Archbishop Stepinac's boys basketball squad defeated Bishop Hendricken of Rhode Island 65-44 at Assumption College in Springfield, Mass. Dec. 17.

Stepinac's Naim Thomas registered a game-high 15 points with teammate Tyler Iacuone contributing 13.
