Kilpatrick, Bearcats to play at Xavier

Former White Plains standout Sean Kilpatrick and his Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball teammates will be playing at No. 8 Xavier at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, in the Skyline Chili's Crosstown Shootout.

The game will be televised by ESPN2.

The Bearcats are coming off a 57-51 win at Georgia Dec. 2, with Kilpatrick leading the way with 22 points.

Late-night for Stepinac

s ice-hockey team will be playing at 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 against visiting Holy Cross.

While that seems late, and it is, remember ice-hockey teams often play at odd times because ice-rink availability is limited.

COED VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT AT COUNTY CENTER

The below is a press release from westchestergov.com:

Registration is now open for the Westchester County Coed Volleyball Tournament, to be held Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 18 and 19, 2012, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

The tournament is open to men and women, 18 years of age and older, who are members of organized teams, such as corporations, clubs, recreation centers or local “Ys.”

The tournament will be played in Round Robin format on Wednesday to determine the ranking of each team, with a double-elimination tournament for the championship round on Thursday. The tournament will be played in two levels of competition: recreation and power recreation. Awards will be given to the winning teams and runners-up in each division.

Fee is $195 per team, with a limit of 20 teams. Deadline for registration is Jan. 11. The Coed Volleyball Tournament is sponsored by Westchester County Parks. The Westchester County Center is located at 198 Central Avenue in White Plains. Parking is $5.
