Archbishop Stepinac fell 77-53 to highly talented Christ The King, which includes UConn-bound senior Omar Calhoun, New York City's top-ranked recruit, in the second round of the CHSAA’s AA intersectional tournament March 1 at St. Francis Prep in Queens.
Stepinac was led by Josh James' 17 points, four rebounds and three assists

County-Center Hoops
The finals of the Section 1 boys and girls basketball championships were played at the Westchester County Center in White Plains this past weekend.

Mike Ciraco (White Plains-Perkiomen School '08), right fielder for Le Moyne, in the first 3 games of the Spring season in North Carolina, went 2 for 5 in the opener with Mt. Olive and struck out once in the 8-6 win, and then in the back end of 2 on that day, Feb. 18th, hit 1-3, scored a run, had an rbi, and walked once in the 7-3 win.
On the 24th, with Seton Hill of Pa., in a 35 hit slugfest, he batted 3-6, scored a run, and fanned thrice in the 17-16 loss.
