Stepinac quartet earns well-deserved praise
Archbishop Stepinac's Austin Taps, Garfield Heslop, Vincent Narog and Mark White all earned recogintion for their performances in a 27-21 CHSFL AAA semifinal overtime win against visiting Xaverian Nov. 12.

Branca to be in White Plains this week
Former Brooklyn Dodger pitcher Ralph Branca was a three-time all-star but is forever known for allowing the "Shot Heard 'Round The World', a game-winning homer to Bobby Thompson that clinched the 1951 pennant for the New York Giants.
Branca, who was born in Mount Vernon and lives in Rye, will be in White Plains at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 for a talk/Q+A/signing of his book A Moment in Time at Barnes and Noble City Center, 230 Main Street.
