White Plains Hospital Is the Only Hospital in Westchester to be Named Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report has once again recognized White Plains Hospital for numerous high-performing programs and specialty services, including naming it a Best Regional Hospital for 2019/20 – the only hospital in Westchester to receive this accolade.

In addition to its regional honors, White Plains Hospital is #16 and #17 in both the state and metro area, respectively, out of 211 hospitals in New York rated by U.S. News & World Report.

The Hospital ranks #22 in the country for gynecology, and received high-performance ratings in seven other key clinical areas: gastroenterology and GI surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and lung surgery, urology, heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

“Being ranked the best hospital in Westchester, and among the top in the region, state and even the nation, underscores our high level of advanced and specialty care. Our outstanding physicians and Magnet nurses offer a premiere level of care and an exceptional patient experience,” said White Plains Hospital President and CEO Susan Fox.“The recognition is another reason why our community trusts White Plains Hospital with the entire spectrum of their care, from general services all the way to complex care requiring highly specialized staff and state-of-the-art facilities,” she continued.

The recent ratings are based on a rigorous U.S. News methodology that factors in a hospital’s performance in areas such as patient survival and care-related factors such as nursing, technology and patient services, as well as reputation.
